FAQ

do you traveL?

I'm based out of Truro, NS but I'm happy to travel wherever needed to be part of your special day!

How long does each makeup application take?

I like to keep things calm, fun, and as stress-free as possible - so I don't rush if I don't have to! Bridal makeup typically takes about 60-75 minutes to ensure everything is flawless and you feel your best. Bridesmaids, moms, and other guests usually take about 45-60 minutes each. For larger bridal parties, application times may be slightly reduced to fit within the schedule - but I'll always ensure each client still receives a beautiful result and a great experience. I'm happy to help with your morning timeline and suggest start times based on when you'd like everyone to be ready.

How do you handle infection prevention and sanitation?

As a Health Care Professional and Makeup Artist, cleanliness is a top priority for me. All brushes and tools are thoroughly cleaned between clients using professional grade, antibacterial soaps and cleaners. I fully sanitize my makeup products between each client, and use disposable applicators wherever possible - especially for mascara, brows, and lip products. You can relax knowing that your safety, comfort, and skin health are always part of the beauty plan.

is there a minimum number of applications required to book?

Yes, I do have minimum booking requirements for on-location services. During peak wedding season (May 1 - October 31),  all bookings require a minimum of four (4) makeup applications. If you're planning something smaller or more intimate, feel free to reach out - I'm always happy to chat and see what we can work out!

Can i Do a trial before committing to Book You For My wedding?

Absolutely! You're more than welcome to book a trial before committing - but please note that your wedding date isn't officially secured until a contract is signed and returned. While I'll make every effort not to book another wedding for your requested date, please understand that someone who is ready to sign the contract may secure the date before you.

What is your signature look?

My signature look is soft, timeless glam - radiant skin, softly defined eyes, and a flawless finish that enhances your natural beauty. I focus on creating looks that feel elevated, effortless, and long-lasting, perfect for both in-person moments and photos that will last a lifetime. If you're envisioning bold, vibrant colours, or dramatic, editorial-style makeup, I may not be the right artist for you - and that's perfectly okay! There are some incredibly talented artists who specialize in that style, and I'd be happy to recommend a few names. Ultimately, I want you to find the perfect fit for your dream look.

Why is bridal makeup different?

Bridal makeup is more than just a makeup application - it is a luxury service designed to support you through one of the most important days of your life. The investment reflects not only the time spent on the wedding day itself, but also the ongoing communication, personalized advice, and planning support leading up to it. From skincare prep tips to helping to build a smooth morning timelines, I'm here to ensure everything feels seamless and stress-free!

When should i book my Makeup artist for my wedding?

It's never too early to book your wedding makeup - especially during peak season (May through October), when dates fill up quickly. Many brides reserve their artist 12-18 months in advance to secure their preferred date. While I'm always happy to accommodate last-minute requests whenever possible, booking early is the best way to ensure your date is available. It also gives us plenty of time to schedule your trial, discuss your vision, and finalize the details. Once your date is secured with a signed contract, you can relax knowing your bridal beauty is in trusted hands.
